Seeking Case Western Reserve's first vice provost for innovation

I write today to inform you of another exciting opportunity to serve on the leadership team in the Office of the Provost, as the university's first vice provost for innovation. This internal search requires the rank of full professor with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2024.

At Case Western Reserve University, we recognize the profound impact that AI and other other emerging technologies can have on teaching, learning, and research. And we are committed to harnessing that power to enhance the educational experience.

This new role—the first of its kind at CWRU—will play a pivotal role in advancing CWRU’s ability to leverage those capabilities and creative possibilities to further enhance our educational offerings and programs. The vice provost for innovation will provide leadership on elevating the student academic experience through innovative practices ranging from hands-on learning, problem-solving and critical thinking in an AI world. Reporting to the provost, this position carries broad responsibilities aimed at driving educational excellence, innovation, interdisciplinary approaches, and continuous evolution across all academic levels.
