I served on the Modern Language Association Committee on Information Technology (2000-2003), the CWRU Faculty Senate Committee for Academic Computing and Information Services (2000-2001), and the UUF Committee on Academic Computing (2000-2006, Chair 2001). I was also an invited Consultant to Iowa State University (1997) and University of Akron (2001) to help them evaluate and improve their language learning centers.
I was the recipient of numerous grants and awards, including a Henderson Memorial Plenary Address Award of the International Association of Language Learning Technology (June 1999) and CWRU Provost Opportunity Grant (2002-2003, $260,000) and a number of UCITE and other internal grants.
