In this talk Kathleen H. Barrie, who heads the Putnam Art Collection at CWRU, reflects on her long career developing some of the most celebrated museums in the country and the role that awe plays in inspiration, design and implementation. Kathleen, along with her husband Dennis, are principals at Barrie Projects, a unique museum and cultural planning firm which provides specialized services to a wide range of institutions, visitor centers and destinations. Noted projects are the International Spy Museum in Washington, DC, The Mob Museum in Las Vegas and the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum in Colorado Springs.
