WHY TEMPLATES?

The web templates and guidelines have been designed to support several of the university's communication goals:

  • Strong Case Identity. The templates use the new, official Case logo identity and color palette. Publishing web pages that include this identity complies with the university's brand identity standards and helps to create a strong, consistent identity for Case across all communication channels. A wide range of color combinations and opportunities to include photography provide a level of design flexibility while remaining within university guidelines.
  • Positive User Experience. The templates utilize navigation conventions and visual cues to provide users with a positive online experience. As more sites implement these guidelines, users will be able to learn and count on these conventions, making their visits to Case.edu easier and more productive.
  • Ease of Development. The templates are built using standard HTML code and cascading stylesheets (CSS). Text-based navigation and few graphics mean that individuals with an intermediate working knowledge of HTML will be able to create, manage, and update sites in a timely and efficient manner.

Publishing websites that follow Case's guidelines for online communication helps both the university and your site's users. Through visual unity and learnable navigation systems, we will be able to offer visitors to Case's websites a cohesive online experience that reflects well on the university.
