Traci Douglas (left), a department assistant in the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences and Pamela White, an accounting clerk at the Mandel School, enjoy a meal at the Silver Spartan diner on its first day of business. The Silver Spartan opened this month with weekday hours from 6 p.m. to 2 p.m. Additional weekday and weekend hours, including late night hours, will begin with the start of the academic year. The diner is at 11377 Bellflower Court.
