Three new staff members have joined CWRU's Office of University
and Alumni Relations.
In March, Scott Taylor was appointed associate vice president
for planned giving and Christopher Simoneau was named associate
vice president for strategic planning. This week Brigette Bryant
starts as the new associate vice president for philanthropic development.
Taylor previously served as the director of gift planning at
Columbia University, where he oversaw all planned gift marketing,
solicitations, donor relations and reporting.
In his new role at CWRU, he will be responsible for deferred
gift solicitation and for the interface between planned giving
and the treasurer's office regarding deferred gift asset management
and reporting.
A graduate of Columbia's School of General Studies, Taylor holds
a bachelor's degree in philosophy and economics.
Simoneau has worked in private and non-profit sector strategic
and operational planning most recently with Canal Bridge Consulting.
He previously was the chief financial and administrative officer
for a start-up firm specializing in international securities trading
clearing and settlement. He also served as the top administrative
officer for the Columbia Earth Institute and, before that, the
Princeton Materials Institute.
At CWRU, Simoneau is responsible for all strategic planning and
organizational effectiveness for University and Alumni Relations.
He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Villanova University
and his master's of business administration at Columbia's Graduate
School of Business.
Bryant most recently served as the chief development officer
for the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia
University. Prior to that, she held leadership positions in the
development programs at the College of Arts and Sciences at the
State University of New York, Stonybrook; New Jersey Institute
of Technology; Liberty Science Center; and Dance Theatre of Harlem.
At CWRU, Bryant is responsible for leading major and principal
gift programs and for managing relationships with many of the
University's pivotal and prospective donors.
Bryant holds a bachelor's degree in music production and engineering
from Berklee College of Music in Boston.
