While his image is projected onto a large screen over his left
shoulder, Lev Gonick, CWRU's vice president and chief information
officer, addresses the more than 300 participants-including faculty,
university IT professionals, and IT executives and entrepreneurs-at
the second annual No Strings Attached Conference in Thwing Center.
The three-day national conference, which CWRU hosted for the second
time, included sessions on the impact of wireless technology,
personal digital assistants, handheld computers and tablet PCs
on teaching, learning, research, faculty activities and student
life. The program also featured Drexel University President Constantine
Papadakis; Mike Lorion, Palm vice president for education; and
Microsoft's John Dubois.
