Staff, Hundert to discuss
vision
CWRU's Staff Advisory Council will continue discourse between
staff and President Edward M. Hundert with an open discussion
on the University's vision from 3:30-5 p.m. March 18 in room 02
of the Peter B. Lewis Building. Light refreshments will be provided.
Hovorka prize nominations
due
Nominations are being accepted for the Frank and Dorothy Humel
Hovorka Prize, which recognizes an active or emeritus faculty
member whose exceptional achievements in teaching, research and
scholarly service have benefited the community, the nation and
the world.
Nominations should be mailed no later than March 21 to the attention
of Mary Ann Pelot, The Hovorka Prize Committee, c/o Office of
the President and the Provost, Adelbert Hall, 7001.
Pre-register for commencement
All graduates planning to participate in the University convocation
and/or their school's diploma ceremony must register online by

Session is on nonprofit programs
An information session on graduate programs in nonprofit management
hosted by the Mandel Center for Nonprofit Management will be conducted
from 5:30-7:30 p.m. March 12 at the Museum of Contemporary Art,
8501 Carnegie Ave.

Women's vocal group to perform
The women's vocal trio Zorgina will perform a musical storybook
of women's lives in the Middle Ages and Renaissance.
Their program, called "I Know That I'm Too Bold," begins at 7:30
p.m. March 22 in Harkness Chapel. A discussion with the performers
will follow.
CWRU and Cleveland Institute of Music students get in free with
a student ID. Tickets are $20 for non-students and $18 for those
over 65. Group rates are available. To order tickets, send e-mail

Teaching honor to be awarded
Nominations are now being accepted for the Carl F. Wittke Award
for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.
The Wittke Award is presented each year to two permanent CWRU
faculty members who have demonstrated excellence in undergraduate
teaching. Nominations are due March 21.

SAC to host women's suit drive
The SAC Community Service Committee is sponsoring in conjunction
with The Center for Women and Dress for Success Cleveland a "Send
one Suit" Drive March 18 and 19 on campus.
Dress for Success is a not-for-profit organization that helps
low-income women make tailored transitions into the workforce.
Each Dress for Success client receives one suit when she has a
job interview and a second suit when she gets the job. The Dress
for Success Professional Women's Group program then provides ongoing
support to help the client build a successful career.
The week of March 1623 is "Clean Your Closet" week for
Dress for Success, and the SAC Community Service Committee will
be sponsoring a Send One Suit drive March 18 from 11 a.m. to 2
p.m. at Thwing Center and from 36 p.m. in the Peter B. Lewis
Building. Donations also will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
March 19 in Thwing Center.
The committee seeks volunteers to accept donations, transport
them to Thwing for pickup by Dress for Success and help in promoting
this event to the University community.
