Christopher Reeve receives CWRU, UH breathing device

The actor known for playing Superman in the movies volunteered to have implanted an experimental breathing system that is being tested at University Hospitals of Cleveland and CWRU.

Clemens Burda, assistant professor of chemistry, plans to create, study and characterize nova nanomaterials that have the potential to lead to applications in industry and medicine and as alternative energy sources.

Gross to leave CWRU with numerous accomplishments

After accomplishing what President Edward M. Hundert calls a "decade's worth of work" in just over two years at CWRU, Rhonda Gross, executive vice president and chief operating officer, will leave the University June 30.
