The CWRU Board of Trustees recently approved the establishment
of nine endowment funds, one scholarship fund and a new community
health improvement professorship. They are:
- Edwin A. Brezina Endowment Fund, original value $122,757,
to support the Case School of Engineering
- Mary E. Chilcote Endowment Fund for Library Acquisitions,
original value $20,000, for the acquisition of materials for
the University libraries
- Amy L. Kuhn Feldstein Endowment Fund, original value $91,010,
to provide financial assistance for students enrolled in the
CWRU School of Medicine
- Elizabeth A. Goodwin Endowment Fund, original value $10,159,
to provide scholarship support for students enrolled in the
College of Arts and Sciences with a preference for students
from the Greater Franklin County, Ohio, area who are physically
disabled
- Barbara V. Gould Endowment Fund, original value $200,000,
to provide financial support for students enrolled in the School
of Medicine
- Florence Appelbaum Greenbaum Endowment Fund, original value
$20,000, to support one or more students studying classics,
preferably classical sites abroad
- H. B. Herron Scholarship Fund, original value $980,840, to
support one or more students pursuing a bachelor's degree in
chemical engineering
- Malone Family Endowment Fund, original value $20,045, to support
the CWRU School of Dentistry
- Frances Raley Endowment Fund, original value $38,354, to provide
financial aid for students enrolled in the Frances Payne Bolton
School of Nursing
- Christine and Samuel H. Smith Endowment Fund, original value
$69,889, to support the College of Arts and Sciences
- Duncan Neuhauser Professorship in Community Health Improvement,
original value $750,000, to be combined with funds from MetroHealth
Medical Center to support a professorship in community health
improvement
