Charity Choice campaign to offer online pledging
by Paula J. Baughn

The 2002 Charity Choice campaign will kick off October 2, once again offering faculty and staff an opportunity to support local charitable organizations.

Campaign materials will be delivered next week through campus Charity Choice coordinators, and pledge cards must be returned by November 7. A new online pledging option will be available this year. The Web address will be included in pledge packets.

As in past years, employees can designate contributions to Community Shares, United Way, Earth Share of Ohio or any specific agencies involved with these umbrella organizations.

Co-chairs for the drive are May Wykle, dean and Florence Cellar Professor of Nursing at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, and Richard Baznik, vice president for public affairs.

For more information on the campaign, call Lynice Willis at 368-2338.

To learn more about these three organizations, visit their Web sites: Community Shares, http://www.communityshares.org; United Way, http://www.uws.org; and Share of Ohio, http://www.earthshareofohio.org.
