Below, Victoria Wan, a first-year orthodontic student, learns wire bending from a master of the art. Chi-Min "Jimmy " Teng from National Taiwan Defense Medical College in Taipei spent two weeks at CWRU teaching students the Charles Tweed method of wire bending and how teeth move according to angles of wire. Teng has visited CWRU for the past six years as an adjunct assistant professor in orthodontics. He learned the Tweed method as a graduate dental student at St. Louis University from Arthur Phelps, CWRU clinical professor of orthodontics.
