Pomp and circumstance

The academic procession led by University Marshal D. Keith Robinson (left) and Interim President James Wagner opened commencment ceremonies this weekend by marching from Adelbert Hall to the Veale Center. CWRU awarded 1,891 undergraduate, graduate and professional degrees during commencement. Of the total degrees awarded, 646 were bachelor's, with approximately half that group of graduates obtaining their degrees from the College of Arts and Sciences. Receiving the remainder were undergraduates from the Case School of Engineering, the Weatherhead School of Management and the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing. Graduate and professional degrees were awarded as follows: 40 engineering, 74 applied social sciences, 73 dentistry, 140 medicine, 238 law, 424 management, eight nursing and 248 in the School of Graduate Studies.
