Employees to help shape 'family-friendly' benefits through online survey

The Office of the Provost is asking all CWRU employees to participate in an online survey regarding child care, elder care and family leave policies.

A campus-wide survey is being conducted to ascertain which policies should be discussed and/or implemented to help promote a "family-friendly" environment at the University.

Even if staff members do not feel that these issues concern them directly, the Office of the Provost would still appreciate input because these policies can impact the University.

A more family-friendly environment can help enhance recruitment and retention of talented individuals at all levels; provide opportunities for teaching undergraduate, graduate and professional students; and expand research opportunities for faculty, staff and students.

Completion of the anonymous, one-page survey should take less than five minutes but may affect University policy for years to come, according to the Provost's Office.

All members of the University are urged to participate. Each employee may reply only once. The survey can be taken online at http://survey.cwru.edu.
