Committee to search for new HR executive
by Paula J. Baughn

A committee has been appointed to search for the University's new vice president for human resources.

The group, chaired by Lev Gonick, vice president of information technology services and chief information officer, has set a goal to hire a person for the newly entitled position by March 31.

Earl L. McLane, who has served as associate vice president of human resources, is retiring April 1 after 11 years as CWRU's chief human resource administrator.

Along with the new title, the position now will report directly to Rhonda Gross, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the University.

In addition to Gonick, members of the committee include Hossein Sadid, vice president for business and controller; Kenneth A. Basch, vice president of campus planning and operations; Laura Tanski, director of budget and financial planning; May Wykle, dean and Florence Cellar Professor of Nursing at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing; and Ann Penn, director of the University's Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity.
