Faculty Senate to continue working on several projects
by Paula J. Baughn

CWRU's Faculty Senate is starting the new academic season about where it left off last spring, continuing work on several on-going projects the group hopes to wrap up by the end of 2002-2003.

In its first actions of the school year, the Faculty Senate approved a five-year academic calendar for 2002-2007 and passed a resolution making the language of senate bylaws regarding standing committees more consistent.

In other business, the senate said it plans to continue the process of redefining membership in the University faculty, a project it started last year.

The group also has appointed an ad hoc committee to clarify the roles of the University Undergraduate Faculty and the Faculty Senate.
