Campus can comment
on vision
Faculty, staff and students can respond online to the six points
that President Edward M. Hundert introduced in his Fall Convocation
address. Campus discourse on the topics will be used to form a
vision for the future of the University.

Covey workshop
to be offered
CWRU's human resources and student affairs departments are sponsoring
a workshop, "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People," which is
based on the works of Stephen R. Covey, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
January 22-24 in 13 Crawford Hall.
The cost is $150 per person. Those who register before October
15 will receive a $20 discount. Materials necessary for the course
and continental breakfasts and mid-afternoon breaks are included

It must be returned by October 30. Groups are limited to 30 people.

University payment terms

Effective October 1, Accounts Payable has changed the University's
standard payment terms from 45 to 30 days from date of invoice.

Faculty art expo begins
Oct. 11
The CWRU Art Studio Program will showcase its Fall Faculty Exhibition
October 11 through November 1 at the newly renovated Art Studio.
The exhibit will open with a reception from 5-8 p.m. October 11
at the studio. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through
Friday.
The show will feature work from studio instructors Alexander
Aitken and Gail Berg, photography; Margaret Fischer, enameling;
Martha Lois, ceramics; Chris Pekoc, drawing; Tim Shuckerow, painting;
Luba Slodov, design and textiles; and Kurt Weaver, architecture.

University bands to perform
CWRU's University Bands, a division of the music department,
will march into Severance Hall at 7:30 p.m. October 12 for a fall
concert.
Featured will be music by the CWRU Symphonic Winds and the University
Circle Wind Ensemble, with a guest appearance by the Medina Community
Band.
Tickets for the event are $15 for general seating and $30 for
box seats and are available at the Severance Hall box office.

Improv mystery tickets
on sale
An improvised dinner murder mystery produced by CWRU's Peoples'
Improvisational Society and sponsored by University Program Board
(UPB) Fine Arts will begin at 7 p.m. October 25 in the Thwing
Center Ballroom.
Charactersincluding a cross-dressing professor, a folk
dancing secretary and a verbose detectiveand a plot are
developed ahead of time, but no lines are scripted. The audience
also will play an active part in solving the mystery.

First Apple Xserve demo
slated
CWRU will be the site of the first seminar in the country introducing
Apple's Xserve, a new product line targeted to higher education.
Xserve is an industrial strength server that meets the unique
needs of the Unix and science and research environments and the
enterprise information technology data center environment.
The half-day seminar is scheduled for 9-11:30 a.m. today in 108
Clapp Hall. A continental breakfast will be served from 8-9 a.m.
