Savin named dean of arts and sciences

Samuel Savin is the new dean of the College of Arts and Science, effective July 1. Savin, the Jesse Earl Hyde Professor of Geological Sciences, has served as the college's interim dean for the past year.

Anvari selected as new Weatherhead dean

CWRU has named Mohsen Anvari as dean of the Weatherhead School of Management, effective August 1. Anvari has been dean of the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University in Montreal since 1995. He has been a professor in the school's Department of Finance since 1988.

Firm to commercialize CWRU sensor technology

Heuer named University professor

Arthur Heuer has become the fourth person in CWRU's history, and the first engineer, to be appointed a University Professor. A University Professor is not an endowed position, but is the highest scholarly rank in the University. The title acknowledges a long and distinguished academic career. Heuer is the Kyocera Professor of Ceramics in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at CWRU.
