David Spencer, a scientist in the Department of Medicine/Gastroenterology at CWRU's School of Medicine, and Tara Rasch (not pictured), a junior in the Department of Civil Engineering, ran the New York City Marathon Sunday, November 4 and raised more than $5,000 for families of the victims of the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center. Spencer completed the marathon in 4 hours, 13 minutes. Rasch finished in 3 hours, 47 minutes.
