Top earthquake researchers to gather at CWRU
November 8-10 for conference

CWRU's Department of Civil Engineering has some of the most advanced equipment for earthquake research. The department will host 30 of the top world experts in earthquake research for a three-day workshop, November 8-10.

David Spencer, a scientist in the Department of Medicine/Gastroenterology at CWRU's School of Medicine, and Tara Rasch (not pictured), a junior in the Department of Civil Engineering, ran the New York City Marathon Sunday, November 4 and raised more than $5,000 for families of the victims of the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center.
