The June 1996 edition of the CWRU-TV News Service is ready to provide your station with FREE news features for broadcast. The features are timely and suitable for morning, noon, evening, and weekend broadcasts and contain separate audio channels. Audio channel 1 contains NAT SOUND ONLY and audio channel 2 contains VOICEOVER, should you wish to feature your own reporter. Features also include extra interview and B-roll.

GINGER FIGHTS CANCER (1:36) -- Hasan Mukhtar, a CWRU medical researcher, has found evidence that extracts of ginger root, when applied to the skin of laboratory mice, inhibit skin cancer development.

ULCER BUG (1:48) -- Art McCullough, CWRU associate professor of medicine and a gastroenterologist, explains why buying over-the-counter remedies for what seems like the onset of stomach ulcers is a waste of money. This is because doctors now know that stomach ulcers are not caused by spicy foods, but rather by a bacterium called helicobactor pylori.

MAGICAL FOREST PLAYSTATION (2:02) -- A therapeutic playstation designed by CWRU student engineers is setting new standards for promoting the rehabilitation of small children with learning disabilities and neuromuscular disorders. Their magical forest playstation has become very popular with kids and health care professionals alike.
