CLEVELAND -- Come join Valentine and his friend Proteus as they head for the duke's court in Milan, where the two gentlemen seek adventure, meet new friends, and fall in love with the same woman. The plot takes place in one of William Shakespeare's most popular comedies, Two Gentlemen of Verona. Audiences for the production at Case Western Reserve University's Eldred Theater will see a contemporary adaptation of this beloved comedy.

Two Gentlemen of Verona highlights the opening of a new season at the Eldred Theater. Performances are at 8 p.m. October 12-13 and 18-20, with 2:30 p.m. matinees October 14 and 21.

Jerrold Scott from CWRU's Department of Theater Arts has set the timeless classic in the new millennium for the undergraduate student cast he directs. Kathleen Burke Clay, a third-year M.F.A. candidate in design, has created contemporary costuming for the production. Set and lighting design are by guest artist Michael Roesch.

For ticket reservations or information, call the box office at 216-368-6262. General admission is $9, with discounted prices of $7 for adults over age 60 and University personnel, and $5 for students.
