CLEVELAND -- Pictured here are the 20 members of Case Western Reserve University's inaugural class of master of management and engineering students, part of the Institute for the Integration of Management and Engineering (TIIME). This is an innovative new program in which a student admitted in the junior year can obtain both a B.S. in engineering and a master of engineering management (MEM) degree in five years. Undergraduates start the MEM program in the summer after their junior year. After their senior year, MEM students complete an internship, followed by one year of full-time graduate study in program courses taught by the faculty of the Weatherhead School of Management and the Case School of Engineering. TIIME students arrived on campus during the week of May 21, and they completed their summer course work August 14 with a final oral presentation to faculty, staff, advisory board members, and guests from local companies.
