Tubbs Jones and Congressional Black Caucus to present town hall meeting

Massie at 216-368-4442 or laura.massie@case.edu CLEVELANDCongresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones and members of the Congressional Black Caucus will be presenting a town hall meeting at Case Western Reserve University to discuss the Economy and its impact on our national and local economies.
The event will take place Saturday, September 13, 2003 on the campus of Case Western Reserve University in the Ford Auditorium of the Allen Memorial Library, located at 11000 Euclid Ave., (At the corner of Euclid Ave. & Adelbert Rd.) from 1:00pm-3:00pm. There will be free parking for attendees in the Severance Hall Parking Garage. Panelists for the town hall meeting will include: Ed Morrision - Director of the Center for Regional Economic Issues Weatherhead School of CWRU; John Ryan - Executive Secretary, AFL-CIO Federation of Labor; Eric Small - President & CEO, SBK - Brooks Investment Corporation; Eric Von Hendrix - President, SBK-Brooks Investment Corporation; Dr. Colin Dummond - President, iACTIV; August Napoli - Vice Chairman, Cleveland Clinic Division of Industrial Relations & Development; Thomas G. Pretlow, M.D. - Professor, Pathology & Environmental Health Sciences; India Pierce Lee and; Dr. Jim Robey - Cleveland Growth Association. In addition there will be representatives from the Federal Reserve Bank, Urban League and the City of Cleveland. "I am pleased that Case Western Reserve University will be hosting this very worthwhile event in our district," said Rep. Tubbs Jones. "With small and big businesses folding and unemployment steadily rising, it is important for us to come together and address the issue of our troubled economy. It is my hope that through this discussion and others we will be able to begin to address this issue and work toward some solutions."
