CLEVELAND—Continuing to build on its strong international reputation, the Weatherhead School of Management announced last week that rankings from three major business publications and two leading institutes placed it among the finest business schools in the world.

Highlights include:

"BusinessWeek": Weatherhead's Executive Education Programs ranked 15th in the world for open enrollment and 19th in the world for customized curriculum, and the School's Executive MBA program ranked 21st in the world. EMBA graduate surveys ranked Weatherhead one of the top 5 schools for Marketing. BusinessWeek wrote that "consistent praise for curriculum, support staff, and an enthusiastic well rounded faculty" were major factors that drove the high scores.

The Aspen Institute and World Resources Institute: In the institutes' "Beyond Grey Pinstripes 2003" report, Weatherhead was recognized as one of the top 25 U.S. business schools that "infuse environmental and social impact management into the classroom, activities and faculty research."

"The Economist": Weatherhead's MBA program ranked 27th in the United States.

"The Financial Times": Weatherhead's Executive MBA was ranked 20th in the United States.

"We are very pleased with the increased recognition Weatherhead is receiving for the quality of education we provide at all levels," said Mohsen Anvari, dean of the Weatherhead School of Management. "Even more gratifying is the fact that these rankings are largely based on the experiences of our graduates, and a testament to the fact that Weatherhead does an outstanding job in preparing students to advance their careers and have a lasting impact on business and society."

Anvari added that improving the School's standing in the rankings has been one of the key actions of Weatherhead's strategic plan. "It's great to see such strong performance, and with the addition of world-class faculty and new programs this year, we fully expect to build on this success."
