CWRU stars shine behind the scenes of new Warner Brothers movie

CLEVELAND—Two faculty members from the Case Western Reserve University theater department are behind-the-scene stars of the film "Welcome to Collinwood,"—written and directed by two CWRU alums—which premieres in Cleveland and across the country October 4.

CWRU alums Joe and Anthony Russo wrote and directed the new film "Welcome to Collinwood."

Beth McGee, associate professor of theater arts, served as the dialect coach for cast members that include George Clooney and William H. Macy. She taught the actors how to "talk Cleveland."

Russ Borski, also an associate professor of theater arts, worked as a location scout and a set decorator for the movie, which was filmed in Cleveland.

The two brothers who wrote and directed the film, Joe and Anthony Russo, were both graduate students at CWRU, Anthony in law and Joe in theater arts.

The siblings visited campus last week to speak to a few classes.

The movie, "Welcome to Collinwood," was made by Clooney and Academy Award-winning director Steven Soderbergh's production company and is being distributed by Warner Brothers.
