General InformationFull-time students who have earned a 3.00 grade point average are eligible to apply for the Case Study Abroad Program (formerly referred to as Junior Year Abroad, or JYA). Up to 36 hours of credit may be granted for study at an established foreign university or for approved foreign study programs offered through accredited American universities. Programs must be approved by the dean and the student's major adviser. Financial aid and scholarships may be used for study abroad, and there are no restrictions as to a major for study abroad. During the sophomore year, interested students work closely with the study abroad advisers to select a Case-approved university program abroad, and to submit the appropriate applications so that full credit can transfer to Case, and there will be no delay in progress towards the bachelor's degree.
International Exchange ProgramsQualified students may participate in international exchange programs which send Case students overseas and bring to Case visiting international students. Up to 32 semester hours of credit may be granted for study as an exchange student at an established foreign university with which Case has an exchange program. Case students participating in the exchange programs pay tuition to Case and maintain Case student status during the period of exchange.
