The Office of the University Registrar is responsible for verifying degrees awarded. This service is provided for the benefit of our students and alumni. We reserve the right to refuse verification requests from commercial entities which are intended for profit (i.e., credit card companies).
Verification of degrees awarded is required for many purposes—medical or legal associations, insurance companies, licensure, employers, etc. We verify degrees by mail, fax or on a walk-in basis (with proper ID). There is no charge for degree verification services.
A Verification of Degree does not include courses taken or grades attained while a student at Case as that information is only obtained through ordering a transcript. You may request certification of the following information:
- Degree(s) Awarded
- Major(s)
- Date Conferred
Students/Alumni
To order a degree verification, please include the following information:
- Complete name including any former names
- Degree Awarded
- Year degree was awarded
- Last four digits of your Social Security number
- The name and address to which the Verification should be mailed or fax number if Verification is to be faxed
- Include a daytime telephone number where we may contact you if we have questions
Verifications of Degree are sent via the U.S. Postal Service by first-class mail. Normal turnaround time for mailed requests is two to three days from the time the request is received. Turnaround time for faxed requests is normally one business day. Our fax number is 216.368.8711.
