Mary Rouse, Associate Director for Women in Science and Engineering.  Her main responsibilities include coordinating and expanding the WISER (Women in Science and Engineering Roundtable) extracurricular support program for both undergraduate and graduate women students in STEM fields.

Mary recently served as Education Director at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes.  Previously she worked at Lakeland Community College as Site Director for a NASA science/math education enrichment program for under-served students grades K-12. During her prior time as an epidemiologist with the Ohio Department of Health, she performed research in the areas of environmental health, HIV/AIDs and women’s health issues. Mary has a B.S. in Science Education and a Masters in Public Health from the Ohio State University.

Mary is an active volunteer in the community and schools, especially with the Girl Scouts. She enjoys anything outside, especially gardening, running, and camping.  She has completed 4 marathons since 2004, including the Boston Marathon in 2006.
Mary lives in Shaker Heights with her husband Craig and three daughters.
