FACULTY PROGRAMS

WOMEN FACULTY LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE

Building upon the foundational achievements of the ACES program WFLDI is aligned to achieve success for the university strategic plan by promoting diversity through improved retention of women faculty, contributing to a better campus climate, and providing faculty resources that meet the expectations of young scholars.


STUDENT PROGRAMS

WOMEN IN SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING ROUNDTABLE (WISER)

Led by Associate Director Heather Clayton Terry, WISER promotes the academic excellence of women pursuing science at CWRU by building a learning community and by giving them the tools they need to succeed.

HEALTH
ADVOCACY

Led by Associate Director and Health Advocate Monica Yost, the Center provides counseling and support services, advocacy,training and empowerment programs and resources.

PROGRAMMING
ON MEN AND GENDER

Features annual programs and workshops that explore masculinity, men’s violence, gender stereotypes, and healthy relationships in the interest of reducing violence against women.


STAFF PROGRAMS

WOMEN STAFF LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE

 

The Flora Stone Mather Center for Women oversees an annual year-long program – Women Staff Leadership Development Initiative. Offered to full-time women staff at Case Western Reserve University, the program aims to nurture and develop talent while helping women staff cultivate their leadership skills.


COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

ACT III

A twice monthly discussion group for women nearing or in retirement.

SALON SERIES

Organized by the Community Advisory Board, this successful series featuring women faculty from CWRU is held in community homes and establishments and centers on issues of interest and importance to the wider Cleveland community. See the Salon page for more details.
