Benefits Fair, 2009
Many thanks to all who so generously gave of their time to help to make the
Benefits Fair such a wonderful success!! Your efforts are truly appreciated.
Members of the Staff Advisory Council were visible not only at the SAC and the
Basket Raffle tables but also several of those assigned to Human Resources.
This is a real testament to the dedication that SAC members have to the
university and to each other.
Thanks to all who worked with the Community Service Committee on the
Basket Raffle. The untiring efforts of this group raised a total of
$3752.00. President Barbara Snyder generously donated funds to round the
balance to an even $4,000.00 sending congratulations to this committee and all
of SAC on a very successful fundraising program.
Proceeds will be distributed as follows: $3,000.00 will benefit the Bellflower
Center for Prevention of Child Abuse and a check for $1,000.00 will be given to
Metro Health Friends of Mothers & Infants to purchase diapers for infants in
need. The above organizations were chosen due to the economic hardships placed
on families today and the increased deaths among children because of it.
