Charged with governing the policies of Case Western Reserve University faculty

The Case Faculty Senate is composed of elected members of the Case University Faculty, apportioned according to a formula specified in the Constitution of the University Faculty, found in the Faculty Handbook. In addition, there is an undergraduate student, a graduate student and a professional school student selected by their respective constituencies.  The Faculty Senate is governed by the by-laws of the Faculty Senate.

The Faculty Senate has regular meetings, approximately once a month. Its powers and obligations include making recommendations to the University Faculty and to the President for consideration and transmittal to the Board of Trustees.  Much of the work of the Faculty Senate is done through its committees.
