The Office of Institutional Research regularly surveys various student populations. Below, we have grouped surveys by student group:

First-Year Surveys - Two of our first-year surveys are given to students during New Student Orientation (the Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP) Freshman Survey and the Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement). One of the first year surveys is given to students at the end of their first year at Case (the CIRP Your First College Year survey).

The National Survey of Student Engagement - The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) was given to first-year students and seniors each year from 2001 to 2007. It was given again in 2009 and will henceforth be administered every three years (see survey schedule). This survey asks students to report on their engagement both in and out of the classroom.

Senior Surveys - For many years, Case administered its own senior survey. In 2008, seniors were given the CIRP College Senior Survey and in 2010 students will be given the AAU Senior Survey (see survey schedule). Additionaly, each year, senior students are asked to complete the Career Center's First Destination Survey.

International Student Surveys - In 2009, Case international students were asked to complete the International Student Barometer (ISB). The Undergraduate Student Government is currently working with Institutional Research to prepare a survey of international undergraduate students for the 2009-2010 academic year.

Graduate and Professional Student Surveys - In the 2009-2010 academic year, the Office of Institutional Research will be conducting a graduate and professional student climate survey.
