Electrophysiology of the developing chick heart
The heart is a dynamic organ that begins to function at a very early timepoint in embryogenesis. However, the heart starts to beat as a myocardial tube that must transform its shape into a four-chambered heart while continuously pumping blood throughout the embryo. I am interested in documenting the changes that occur in cardiac electrophysiology during cardiac morphogenesis of the embryonic chick heart using anatomical and physiological methods.
