Peer Helpers Training

Through a series of training sessions offered each semester, students will learn basic information and some theories on such issues as substance abuse prevention, sexual assault and acquaintance rape prevention, suicide prevention, safer sex, and communication skills. The idea behind the training is to give peer helpers a basic understanding of an issue so that they might feel more comfortable when a peer is in need.
