Biography
Dr. Linda Sandhaus received a B.A. in Biology from Douglass College of Rutgers University, New Jersey,
in 1974. She went on to complete an M.D. at New York University’s School of Medicine in 1978. That same
year, Dr. Sandhaus completed an internship in Internal Medicine at University of Minnesota Hospitals,
and later a fellowship in Hematopathology. Her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology took place
at Hennepin County Medical Center, Minnesota. From 1983 until 1994, Dr. Sandhaus was first an Assistant
and then Associate Professor of Clinical Pathology at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New
Jersey. Afterwards, she came to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation as a Staff Pathologist. In 1999, Dr.
Sandhaus first came to Case as a Clinical Associate Professor of Pathology. During this time, she earned
her Master’s in Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the Health Services Research Track at Case’s School
of Medicine. Presently, Dr. Sandhaus is an Associate Professor of Pathology at Case.
Research
Methods in diagnostic hematopathology, laboratory instrumentation and implementation, effective
communication of pathology and laboratory results in the prevention of medical errors.
