Dr. Swain's expertise is in the area of iron bioavailability and food fortification using different forms of iron. Dr. Swain's research also focuses on understanding the influence of dietary iron on intestinal tumorigenesis, using immunohistochemistry, proteomics, and gene expression analysis.
