  • CURRENT PROJECTS
    American Society for Bioethics and Humanities, Status of Bioethics and Medical Humanities Graduate Programs in the U.S. Project Project Director; Les Rothenberg, Chair of the ASBH Status of the Field Committee; Richard Muir, Executive Director of ASBH; and Status of the Field Committee members (see below). The purpose of the project is gather data on the current state of graduate programs that train persons for work in bioethics. Information to be gathered includes: numbers of programs, numbers of students, degrees offered, funding of students, placement rates, and types of placements. ASBH Status of the Field Committee Members are: Jeffrey Botkin, MD, MPH (University of Utah), Anne Hudson Jones, Ph.D. (University of Texas Medical Branch Institute for Medical Humanities); Albert R. Jonsen, Ph.D. (Professor Emeritus, University of Washington School of Medicine); Robert D. Orr, M.D. (University of Vermont School of Medicine and ASBH Vice-President); Rebecca D. Pentz, Ph.D. (University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center); Todd L.
