Our goal is to study the major
human threat of antibiotic resistance using an inter-disciplinary
collaborative approach involving molecular, microbiological,
biochemical, and biophysical techniques. Our inter-institutional team
is ranging from basic science researchers to clinical researchers with
a strong focus in investigating current antibiotics and
ß-lactamase inhibitors, their efficacy against inhibitor
resistant and extended-spectrum ß-lactamases, and development of
novel therapeutic strategies.
