At The Table is a web-based organization that provides information about youth decision making. There are a variety of downloadable resources including a searchable database of youth decision making projects across the country.

Best Practices in Youth Philanthropy, Coalition of Community Foundations for Youth

This publication provides a comprehensive overview of best practices for youth grantmaking and tips for implementing those practices. It also includes a series of questions related to the best practices to guide the development and implementation of your own program.

Changing the Face of Giving - An Assessment of Youth Philanthropy, The James Irvine Foundation

This publication offers an overall picture of youth grantmaking in the United States. It provides information on the various purposes, host institutions, common components, and benefits of youth grantmaking as well as recommendations for future directions.

Michigan Community Foundation Youth Project

The Michigan Community Foundation Youth Project (MCFYP) was created by the Council of Michigan Foundations with support from the W. K. Kellogg Foundation in 1988. MCFYP is a statewide, community foundation based youth grantmaking initiative. Their website, Youth Grantmakers, provides best practices, resources (including sample documents), and lessons learned from their fifteen plus years of experience.

Student Service and Philanthropy Project

The Student Service and Philanthropy Project (SSPP) was created by The Surdna Foundation and the New York City Public Schools in 1991. As part of the project, a Resource Guide was developed which consists of five units: teamwork, foundations, creating projects, leadership, and reflection. The Resource Guide is available through the Learning To Give website in html format or can be downloaded in PDF from the Education Resources Information Center.

Youth in Philanthropy Canada

Youth in Philanthropy (YIP) Canada is a program of Community Foundations of Canada. It is a nationwide, community foundation based youth grantmaking initiative. The site includes basic information about YIP as well as downloadable resources, including two downloadable manuals. These manuals include information applicable not only to youth grantmaking groups, but to any youth decision-making group.

Youth On Board

"Youth on Board prepares youth to be leaders and decision makers in their communities and strengthens relationships between youth and adults through publications, customized workshops, and technical assistance." They provide an Organizational Assessment Checklist that can guide you through the issues associated with involving youth in decision making in your organization.
