Seminars at the Center provide nonprofit professionals the opportunity to learn from and with faculty who are Mandel Center-affiliated and from throughout Case Western Reserve University. These in-depth learning experiences prepare participants to implement or refine ideas or concepts leading to greater organization capacity and effectiveness. Seminars are held various weekday mornings.
Fees for half-day seminars are $95 and include continental breakfast and parking. Full day seminars are $190 and include continental breakfast, lunch and parking. There is a 30% discount for Mandel Center-affiliated individuals. A second person from the same organization may attend for just $25 more per session as part of Mandel Center’s upcoming 25th Anniversary.

Many nonprofit leaders, Board members and line staff worry that they just do not communicate easily with the CFO or members of the finance staff. This seminar is intended to help create a path to more open and clear communication about organizational financial information. Board members, management teams – including CFOs – are urged to attend together. Instructor Barbara Clemenson has walked both sides of this line – as a Board member and a nonprofit CFO.
