DUAL DEGREE OPTIONS

Combine the MNO with another Degree Program

Classes are offered primarily in the evening and on weekends to accommodate working professionals.

The Mandel Center currently offers dual degree programs to enable students to combine the Master of Nonprofit Organizations degree (MNO) with a degree from the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences (MSSA/MNO), the School of Law at Case Western Reserve University (JD/MNO), or the Department of Music in the School of Graduate Studies (MA/MNO).

All dual degree students:
  1. must be admitted to each degree program separately, and
  2. must receive both degrees simultaneously to be granted credit for specific courses taken in the other program.

Please contact the Mandel Center or the appropriate professional school for specific curriculum, sequence options, and complete information about dual degree programs.

MSSA/MNO

This program combines the MNO degree with the Master of Science in Social Administration degree (MSSA). It provides career preparation for students with interests in nonprofit management, social service, and the social work profession.

New students can apply to either program simultaneously or at separate times. Students who choose to begin their studies in the MSSA program must apply to the MNO program prior to completing their first semester of MSSA courses.

For more information on the MSSA degree, please visit the MSASS Website.

JD/MNO

This program combines the MNO degree with the Juris Doctor degree (JD). It provides preparation for students interested in, among other areas, practicing law within a nonprofit organizational setting; serving as leaders or managers of nonprofit organizations; working in the area of nonprofit public policy and advocacy; working in planned giving; or working for a foundation as a program officer.

New students can apply to either program simultaneously or at separate times. Students who choose to begin their studies in the JD program must apply to the MNO program prior to completing their first year at the School of Law.

For more information on the JD degree, please visit the Law School Website.

MA/MNO

This program combines the MNO degree with the Master of Arts in Music History (MA). It provides preparation for students who desire to blend a strong background in music and the arts with management in nonprofit organizations.

Students in either program must be admitted within the first year of study to the other program in order to be admitted to dual degree status. New students may apply to both programs simultaneously.

For more information on the MA degree, please visit the Music Education Website.
