Dear Mandel Center Alumnus/Alumna:
We are very excited at the prospect of exploring ways in which over 600 worldwide Mandel Center Alumni will become better engaged and enriched by the Mandel Center Alumni Association (MCAA). For the past several months, representatives from the Association's Board (Jody Curry, Holly Holcombe) have been working alongside the Mandel Center faculty (John Yankey, Susan Eagan) and the staff to initiate the process of better defining the needs of both alumni and those of the Center. To accomplish this partnering, a strategic planning process has been put in place with John Yankey as the facilitator. The process is scheduled to be substantially completed by the end of this year. While the timeline is aggressive, we are confident it is achievable and that the process will produce exceptional outcomes. Please view the Strategic Planning Process Work Plan and Schedule.
The core working group for this project will consist of alumni representatives from different classes, John Yankey and the three of us. Focus groups will be formed as the process advances.
As the Mandel Center itself moves incrementally to new levels of growth, especially with the upcoming groundbreaking of the new building, the same holds true for the Alumni Association as it redefines and assesses the role it plays in coordination with the Center. A novel opportunity awaits us and we do hope you share our enthusiasm!
We want to thank you in advance for your participation and support for this planning process. With your help, we will produce a multi-year plan that will develop new and innovative partnering between the Alumni Association and the Mandel Center for years to come.
With best regards,
