Greater Circle Living – An Incentive to Live Near Work

Sponsored by University Circle, Inc., this housing program is administered by the Fairfax Renaissance Development Corporation (FRDC) and funded by University Circle employers, including Case Western Reserve University.

What benefits are available through the Greater Circle Living program?

There are 3 benefits available to Case employees; employees may receive a one-time only program benefit in the form of one of the following:

  • Down Payment Assistance - a forgivable loan of $10,000, with an additional $5,000 available to employees based on household income, to apply towards the down payment of a primary residence within the specified geographic area
  • 1 Month Rental Reimbursement - the rental reimbursement is only available for designated apartment buildings in the specified geographic area
  • Exterior Home Renovations - a grant up to $4,000 for exterior renovations to an existing primary residence in the specified geographic area; all renovations (which include landscaping) must be done to the front of the structure or property

Who is eligible to receive the program’s benefits?

Generally, all Benelect-eligible Case employees are eligible to receive a program benefit. Some additional criteria do exist for the rental reimbursement and exterior home renovation funds. Candidates who have received and accepted employment offers from Case can also be eligible for certain benefits. Please note that eligibility for a benefit does not guarantee that an employee will receive one.

What is the "specified geographic area"?

A large map has been posted outside of room 304 in Crawford Hall that defines the included neighborhoods. View a smaller version of the map.
