The Louis Stokes Leadership Symposium on Social Issues and the Community

U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Missouri)—the current chair of the Congressional Black Caucus—will deliver the keynote address at Case Western Reserve University's annual forum on public service.

Cleaver will deliver the address The Importance of Community Leadership in 2011 at the university's Louis Stokes Leadership Symposium, beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20 2011, at the Allen Memorial Medical Library,11000 Euclid Ave.

This event is free and open to the public.

The Louis Stokes Symposium is a public forum dedicated to leadership in public service and civic engagement as espoused by U.S. Congressman Louis Stokes. The symposium provides a platform for an individual, who exemplifies these qualities, to lead a thought-provoking discussion among members of the Greater Cleveland community, the Case Western Reserve University campus and others about the continuing importance and value of public leadership in the 21st century.
