Launched in 2005, the Distinguished Lecture Series is designed to bring prominent scholars from a variety of fields to speak about their work.
Speakers are chosen annually by a faculty committee. University faculty, staff, students, alumni, community members, and friends are invited to attend the annual lecture.
The March 3, 2009 lecture will feature Edward O. Wilson, Ph.D.
A legendary biologist, Edward O. Wilson is considered the father of the modern environmental movement. He's been named one of America's 25 Most Influential People by TIME, and has twice won the Pulitzer Prize.
