Forgotten Passwords and Locked Accounts

If you have forgotten your NetWare password or your NetWare account has been locked out, you may have your password reset and your account unlocked here. When you follow the link below, you will be asked to log in with your CWRUnet (e-mail) ID and password, and then you will be able to pick a new NetWare password.
Change your password now.

If you have forgotten your Windows NT password, you need to talk to your local NT administrator or the person who set up your computer about getting your password reset. Windows NT passwords cannot be reset by anyone other than the administrator for your computer.

If you have forgotten your e-mail password, please go to the ITS offices on the sixth floor of Crawford Hall with some form of ID to have it reset. You may not have your e-mail password reset over the phone or on the web.

About your NetWare password

Password expiration

Every 180 days, your password will expire and you will be asked if you want to pick a new one. NetWare will only ask three times before locking out your account, so you should answer yes the first time you recieve the message.

Choosing passwords

When you pick a new password, there are some rules you have to follow for them to be valid:

• Your password must be at least 6 characters long.
• You may not use the same password twice -- NetWare remembers every password you've ever used and makes sure every one is unique.
