The charts are a frequently-cited resource on Usenet, and are highly regarded among experts in the field of CSS authoring; in addition, the Leader Board figures are often cited in corporate press releases and in public discussions of CSS implementations.

This article described a new type of Web-based image server. The primary aim of the Borealis project is to provide a low-cost method of organizing and serving large numbers of images; these images are 'watermarked' in an attempt to assert intellectual and legal ownership.

This tutorial has been called the best on-line HTML tutorial by MacWorld and was named one of "The World Wide Web Top 1000" by Point Communications Corporation.
Introduction to HTML has also been used as a resource for numerous college courses, as an employee reference for departments of various governments and military organizations as well as for major corporations, and was the recommended HTML tutorial of the HTML Writers Guild. Followed by two sequels.
