Deadline for May graduates who are not participating in commencement to submit a request to receive the degree in absentia. Please complete and submit the following form: Request to receive Bachelor's degree in absentia.
Be sure that all of your financial obligations to the university, including phone bills and any parking or library fines, are paid. Your diploma may be withheld if all financial obligations are not met.
Tempus Transitus - The Senior Ceremony - Amasa Stone Chapel at 6 p.m. All graduating undergraduates are invited to attend Tempus Transitus - The Senior Ceremony. This rite of passage kicks off commencement weekend and formally welcomes graduates into the Alumni Association of Case Western Reserve University.
10 a.m.: Commencement Rehearsal - Horsburgh Gymnasium
Attendance at commencement rehearsal is required for all graduates receiving a Bachelor's Degree
noon-2 p.m. Legacy Reception - Amasa Stone Chapel
The Legacy Reception is an exclusive pre-commencement reception held in honor of the family traditions that have connected legacy students* to Case Western Reserve University for generations. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with other legacy families, celebrate your academic achievement and receive your special legacy pin.
(*Legacy students have parents, grandparents or other family members who attended Case Western Reserve University or one of its predecessor institutions.)
2 p.m.: Phi Beta Kappa initiation ceremony - Harkness Chapel
4:30 p.m.: Senior Awards Assembly - Temple Tifereth, 1855 Ansel Road, Cleveland
6 p.m.: Awards-Assembly Reception follows immediately at Park Lane Villa, 10510 Park Lane, Cleveland, Ohio 44106
The Temple-Tifereth Israel is in University Circle at the corner of East 105th Street and Ansel Road. Park Lane Villa is directly across the street from the Temple. Free parking for both locations is available immediately west of the Temple; the entrance to that lot is located off of East 101st Street. 7 p.m.: Commencement Mass, hosted by the Newman Catholic Students Association – Amasa Stone Chapel
Robe and line up - Case Quad, west walk in front of Sears, Yost and Tomlinson. Graduates must arrive, in cap and gown, no later than 8:15 a.m. Security will be provided in Sears for belongings (coats, purses, etc.).

The Undergraduate Reception will be held on Musselman Quadrangle, between Adelbert Hall and Amasa Stone Chapel (rain site: tent on Van Horn Field).
YOU MUST SATISFY ALL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO BE CERTIFIED TO RECEIVE YOUR BACHELOR'S DEGREE. Please review your most recent Academic Requirements Report for any missing credit or incomplete requirements that may affect your eligibility to graduate.
Only those students who have a completed Academic Requirements Report will be considered for graduation. Academic Requirements Reports are available online via the Student Information System (SIS). A complete Academic Requirements Report displays “Satisfied” for each header at the top of the report. Any headers displaying “Not Satisfied” suggests that a requirement may not be fulfilled and may require your attention. If you have questions regarding your Academic Requirements Report, contact your Undergraduate Studies Dean.

Final grades for this spring semester's coursework must be received by the registrar by May 11. All coursework, including senior projects and independent studies, must be completed in time for the instructor to submit grades by this date.
If the above deadlines are not met, you may not be certified for graduation. If there are problems, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Studies, Sears 357, 216.368.2928, or via email at uggrads@case.edu.
If you do not complete degree requirements, you will not receive your degree nor diploma. However, if you are within one course of meeting your degree requirements, or if your remaining requirements can be completed during the coming summer semester (adding up to no more than 12 credit hours), you may request permission to participate in commencement this May. You should indicate your plan in writing to your Undergraduate Studies Dean (A-G: Dean DiIulio, nancy.diiulio@case.edu; H-O: Dean Hamel, lynmarie.hamel@case.edu; P-Z: Dean Butler, denise.butler@case.edu no later than Monday, March 25, 2013. Please note that a student may participate in the Commencement ceremony only once as a bachelor’s degree candidate, though exceptions may be made for students receiving a second bachelor's degree at least one year after the first.
