What if my tickets are misplaced?
Tickets are not replaceable. Students who receive tickets will not receive duplicates.
Where do I get more tickets?
If more tickets are available, they will be distributed by your school's commencement coordinator. Tickets will be distributed through the professional schools and the Offices of
Undergraduate Studies and Graduate Studies. Depending on the number of graduates
who register to participate in the University-wide Convocation, extra tickets may be
available for general distribution. Graduates can request extra tickets by contacting
the school from which they will receive their diploma (i.e. Undergraduate Studies).
Since I only receive limited tickets, other guests won't be able to see me get my diploma.
Tickets are only required for the University Convocation, not for the diploma ceremonies. Guests who do not have tickets for the Convocation may watch the ceremony in the Emerson Gymnasium through video transmission.
I decided late that I want to have tickets for convocation, but didn't sign up. Can I still receive tickets?
Once you have submitted your Online Registration Form, your request is final. You may be able to receive tickets if extras are made available after the initial distribution to the school Commencement Coordinators.
When will I know when extra tickets are available?
Extra tickets will be made available to your Commencement Coordinator after April 10. Your Commencement Coordinator will determine the method to be used for extra ticket distribution.
What if a guest requires handicapped accessibility?
All facilities are handicapped accessible. Please review the full information about accomodations provided by the university at the guest information page.
Do I have to attend Convocation?
Convocation is the ceremony where degrees are conferred by the President to all the graduates. It is a traditional ceremony that is attended by many faculty, guests, and VIP's, and is the only time that all graduates are together for a ceremony. In fact, undergraduates, School of Medicine, and MSASS graduates MUST attend Convocation to get their diplomas. There is no arrangement for undergraduates to attend only their diploma ceremony.

Can my tickets be sent via mail to me?
Tickets are only sent via mail to students who have graduated or are on an off-campus cooperative assignment. You must pick up your tickets in person at your designated pick up location, see the Ceremony page for
your school's Ticket Pick Up Location: Ceremony Page.
Can I exchange tickets? What if I don't like my ticket number? Will tickets have seat numbers?
Seating for convocation is on a first come first-served basis. The ticket number does not correspond to a specific seat assignment.
What time does the Veale Center (or other facilities/services) open?
As with all campus facilities, the Veale Center will be open at 8:00 a.m. for seating for Commencement.
Where do I get tickets for my diploma ceremony?
Most schools do not ticket for their diploma ceremonies. The Law School is the only school that requires tickets for the diploma ceremony. Please consult with your commencement coordinator regarding specific arrangements.
